CHICAGO – A video showing Chicago Blackhawks mascot “Tommy Hawk” fighting with a fan at the United Center has gone viral.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the mascot, portrayed Friday night by a male, was punched and put in a headlock by alleged attacker. In the video, you can then see Tommy Hawk bodyslam the fan before throwing a couple punches himself.
The Chicago newspaper reported the fight was reported to police shortly after the end of Friday night’s game.
“We are gathering the facts and will have no further comment at this time, pending our investigation,” a Blackhawks spokesperson to the Sun-Times.
