School community says goodbye to beloved officer in viral video

FRESNO, Calif. (KSNW) - A sweet sendoff for a school resource officer is going viral on social media. 
As students and staff lined a corridor of a California school, an emotional officer Martin fought back the tears as he said goodbye to a community he cared for for three years. 
Words of thanks and praise blasted through the PA system as the officer said farewell. "I just wanted to reiterate how thankful we are for officer Martin," said a staff member over the intercom. "We're gonna definitely miss officer Martin."
The officer, overwhelmed with emotion, could be seen giving hugs and high-fiving those in the crowd. Some students even asked him for his autograph.
The school said the he is "moving on to bigger and better things, still supporting our community" and taking on a new role within the Fresno Police Department. 
It is clear by watching the heartwarming video the officer has left a lasting impression on the school community of Cooper Academy. 
The video has been watched over 120,000 times and shared by nearly 1,500 people on Facebook.
