After Zomato delivery boy steals pet beagle, Twitter explodes with limericks

After fighting hard to tackle its cash burn worries, Zomato seems to have found itself in the wrong side of headlines. One of its delivery executives was accused of stealing a pet in Pune. A Pune couple filed a police complaint after their pet beagle went missing. The incident which wasn't reported much on soon became news after Bibek Debroy posted a limerick on Twitter.
Be wary of the delivery boy,
The food may be just a ploy.
A couple in Pune found
He ran away with their beagle hound.
Was all this done just to annoy?
Soon, other Twitter users started coming up with their own limericks. The limericks thread is now going viral.
He came to deliver us food
Wid intentions not so good
Took us our beagle
We raised a bugle
To leave us in angrier mood
A food delivery man,
Must've been a doggie fan,
he stole his customer's dog,
Soon twitter was all agog,
A dog's best friend,il surely isn't this man.
A delivery boy from Pune City
Considered it a real pity
That his life lacked a pet
So he didn't stop and fret
And made off with a dog in his kitty.
A divorce and family lawyer had put up a tweet when the pet went missing, asking PETA for help. She even put up the delivery boy's number on Twitter.
