Elon musk renames his twitter account to elon ‘tusk' and flashes a cryptic news announcement!

While Elon Musk’s feud with the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) seems to be never-ending, he has now left his followers in a whole new set of confusion and mystery. On Wednesday, the Tesla CEO changed his Twitter display name from Elon Musk to Elon Tusk. As if that wasn’t enough, Musk also teased his followers with a news announcement, which will be supposedly disclosed on Thursday at 2 pm. He then made a thread under his announcement tweet and replied ‘California.’

Well, in case all his fans were wondering what the news will be about, Musk revealed that it is related to Tesla. We wonder if it will be in regards to his ‘Tusk’, a new Tesla model or maybe, about his tussle with SEC. Elon’s cryptic tweets came a day after the Securities and Exchange Commission asked a federal court in Manhattan to hold him in contempt. It was in response to Tesla CEO’s tweets about the electric-vehicle manufacturer’s production levels, which were tweeted last week.

The tweets happened to be Musk discussing Tesla’s estimates for the automobile production volumes for 2019. Reportedly, SEC’s filed a claim in the court stating that those tweets violated a previous settlement between Elon and the agency. On February 19, 2019, Musk had taken to his Twitter account and posted a thread of tweets in which he shared an on-site photo, which he claimed to be 4,000 Tesla vehicles that were to be loaded on a San Francisco dock for shipment to Europe.

Musk then replied to his tweet saying that Tesla made 0 cars in 2011, but will make around 500K in 2019. However, he later corrected it to 400K.
